- NGC2419 is one of the most remote
- globular clusters associated with our
- galaxy. Called "The Intergalactic
- Wanderer", it is placed at 210,000 light
- years away from the center of the
- Milky Way, the same as the Magellanic
- Clouds. Even at its great distance it is
- visible in small telescopes as a fuzzy
- 11th magnitude star. NGC2419 is about
- 380 light years across, and is in a
- region opposite most of the other
- globulars.
